FAQ
-
What kind of issues do you help with?
I specialise in working with adults who struggle with disordered eating patterns, body image concerns, and low self-esteem. You don’t need a diagnosis to work with me—if your relationship with food or your body is distressing, we can work on it together.
-
Do I need to have an eating disorder to start therapy?
Not at all. Many of my clients don’t meet clinical criteria for an eating disorder, but still feel stuck in cycles of restriction, guilt, or emotional eating. You deserve support no matter what your experience looks like.
-
What therapy approach do you use?
I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), sometimes integrating elements of other styles. Sessions are structured, supportive, and tailored to your needs.
-
What happens in the first session?
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you to therapy, your goals, and how I can support you.
-
Do you work in person or online?
At the moment, I’m only offering online sessions via VSee, an online telehealth platform specifically designed for healthcare. It’s encrypted and secure, following ethical guidelines for keeping your confidential information safe.
-
What happens if you can't help me?
If we’re not the right fit for each other, we’ll have a discussion around this and see if there is a way to work around any obstacles. If we can’t find a solution, I’m happy to refer you to another therapist, or guide you to other resources where you can find support that might work better for you.
-
How much is a session?
A 50 minute session is £60, and I offer a free 20-minute consultation call to see if we’re a good fit.
It may be advisable for your first session to be 2 hours, depending on what you’re looking for support with. We’ll discuss this before booking in, so you know what to expect.
-
Do you offer lower rates?
Yes, I keep a small number of concession appointments each week for those who might be struggling financially, charged at £45 per 50 minute session. Please ask if this would make accessing therapy easier for you.
