Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Delicate hands hold an unusually-shaped mug that's 1/3 full of a dark liquid. The person has long dark hair. A dark leather bound book rests on a table in front of them. There is a glimpse of another person sitting across with their arms folded

How I work

I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a structured and practical approach, backed by research. We’ll explore how your thoughts, emotions and behaviours interact. Using this information, we’ll work together to create meaningful, lasting change.

CBT can get a bad rep, being worksheet heavy and feel really structured and impersonal. This definitely isn’t how I work! I love a good worksheet, but at the end of the day what works best for you might be more conversational, or experiential. I use strategies and styles from other types of therapy and go with what works for each individual.

I’m more than just open to feedback, I actively seek it out at the end of each session. I want to make sure that therapy is working for you in ways that make a noticeable impact.

Individual Therapy For Adults

I work with people who struggle with:

🍽️ Disordered Eating & Body Image

When food brings up feelings of guilt, control, or other strong emotion.

  • Emotional or binge eating

  • Restriction and over-control

  • Negative body image

You don’t need a diagnosis to get support. Together, we’ll look at the underlying patterns and build a healthier relationship with food and yourself.

🧠 Anxiety

When your mind won’t stop racing, and everything feels like too much.

  • Generalised anxiety and excessive worry

  • Social anxiety and fear of judgment

  • Avoidance and overthinking

💭 Low Self-Esteem and Self-Criticism

When you feel like you’re not enough, no matter what you do. We’ll explore where these beliefs come from, and how to shift them.

  • Recognise your inner critic

  • Develop self-compassion

  • Build real confidence

🌧️ Depression and Low Mood

When everything feels heavy, and nothing feels enjoyable anymore.

Therapy can help you:

  • Understand your triggers and patterns

  • Rebuild daily structure and energy

  • Challenge hopeless thoughts

  • Reconnect with things that matter to you
